Indigenous Education Centre

DDAPES Indigenous Education and Tutoring Centre

Our Indigenous Education Centre provides a welcoming space for our students to explore Indigenous culture through presentations, crafts and cooking. Our after school tutoring program and some community groups also meet in our centre.

Library

DDAPES Library

Our Library is a central part of Perley School. Each class has the opportunity to be in the library to sign out books, do research projects, hear stories and have conversations with our teacher librarian.

Music

DDAPES Music

At Perley our students are fortunate to have 100 minutes of music/drama instruction each week. Our music room is a separate, dedicated space where students sing, dance, act and play instruments.

Special Education and Sensory Room

DDAPES Indigenous Education and Tutoring Centre

Perley staff create an inclusive and supportive learning environment for all students. Our incredible Learning Support team ensures that the needs of all of our students are considered and our sensory room provides a calm, safe space for students to regulate, explore and learn.

Physical Activity

DDAPES Gym

In the spring, Perley School offers a session of six swim lessons for all our students at our local swimming pool. Our Intermediate students participate in our downhill ski/board program at our local Phoenix Ski Hill. They also have the opportunity to participate in extra-curricular sports such as soccer, basketball and volleyball. The majority of our intermediate students participate in track and field as every year Perley hosts the District Track Meet.
